RAD’s small form factor pluggable (SFP) remote bridges are cost-effective units for connecting Ethernet services over E1, T1, E3, T3, STM-1, and OC-3 circuits. Many service providers are now using switches equipped with MSA/SFP ports. In a great number of cases, service providers need to use E1, T1, E3, T3, STM-1, and OC-3 circuits to reach "out-of-footprint" customers. This requires a “bridge” device between the switch and the PDH line.
