RAD’s cell-site gateways provide multiservice support for ATM, TDM and Ethernet traffic delivery over ATM, xDSL and packet transport. Working opposite third-party switch-routers or RAD’saggregation site gateways, they simplify service provisioning and control by simultaneously backhauling 2G GSM, 3G UMTS and HSPA traffic over shared access lines. RAD’s cell-site gateways feature a multi-standard pseudowire ASIC, supporting ATMoPSN, CESoPSN and SAToP encapsulation methods with OAM and QoS capabilities. In addition, highly accurate clock regeneration functionality is designed to meet the key requirements for cellular backhaul, such as +/- 16 ppb (parts per billion) frequency accuracy.
